For more than 100 years, we've been bringing our chocolates to customers all over the UK, using the finest cocoa beans to create our divine dark, smooth milk and creamy white chocolate collections. In fact, our very first shop was opened in Sheffield by travelling confectioner Joseph William Thornton in October 1911, who handed the keys to his teenage sons Norman and Stanley and said: “Make this the best sweet shop in town! Well, they didn’t do a bad job, did they? Thorntons specialise in making people smile, whether it's romantic gifts for her or luxury Champagne and wine hampers to make those special occasions.
